Service Technician

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced, reliable and self-motivated technician with strong people skills and a willingness to travel. Service technicians provide both field (customer site) and in-house technical service to our customers. The qualified applicant must be detail-oriented and capable of working independently as well as part of a team. The job will require mastering complex, custom machinery; therefore, an ability to learn quickly and an openness to new training, knowledge and skills are necessary. Previous industry experience is preferred.

Job requirements include: 

  • High school diploma plus an associate’s degree in engineering technology or the equivalent in specialized, related training.
  • Minimum 5+ years of field service experience servicing capital equipment.
  • Experience with electro/mechanical machine assembly in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings/blueprints.
  • A working knowledge of PLCs and related software, electronic controllers, instrumentation and electronic circuitry.
  • Ability to travel approximately 60% of the time to service domestic and international customers.
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Our technicians must be strong team players. The job requires frequent collaboration with immediate coworkers/service technicians as well as other departments, especially assembly, engineering and customer service.
  • Technicians must also be capable of parts sales support and interacting with customers in a way that promotes Cozzoli sales while mutually benefitting the company and the customer.

The regular work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am – 5pm with a 1 hr. lunch each day.

Mechanical Assembler

Job Summary:

Excellent opportunity for a beginner to intermediate level Mechanical Assembler.  The regular hours for this position are 7 am -3 pm, Monday-Friday.

We are looking for a team player who wants to be part of a growing company.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing environment. Experience with assembling and diagnosing liquid filling machinery is a plus.
  • High level of mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in working with a variety of hand, power, and measuring tools including drill presses, belt sanders, taper reamers, hand taps, calipers, micrometers, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic assembly.
  • Ability to work independently using engineering drawings, sketches, and verbal instruction as guidance.
  • Frequent standing, bending, and kneeling. Capability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds is a must.
  • A high school diploma or the equivalent; technical school or short-term trades training is a plus.

CNC Programmer/Operator

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced, reliable, and motivated CNC Programmer/Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will be responsible for part programming, tool selection, as well as job setup and operation in a small-lot machining/R&D environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in understanding technical drawings and sketches as well as have a strong foundation in CNC turning; Mazak and Okuma conversational programming experience is a plus.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work from complex prints to program and machine parts of various materials (primarily stainless steel and common plastics) on our Haas vertical mills and Mazak CNC turning centers.
  • Set and adjust work/tool offsets as necessary.
  • Independently select and set up tooling and fixtures/jaws.
  • Monitor the run of parts in cycle and after completion to ensure specifications and tolerances are met.
  • Proficiency in using and understanding all common machine shop measuring tools, such as micrometers, calipers, height gauge, indicators, ID/OD micrometers, etc.
  • Assist in training and mentoring peers as necessary.
  • Other duties as required by Production Manager.

Required qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, technical school certification a plus
  • 5+ years of CNC programming and machining experience; primary proficiency in CNC turning.
  • Strong knowledge of lathe and mill tooling/inserts.
  • Be able to properly follow verbal instructions as well as interpret technical drawings/sketches.
  • Work well with others and collaborate on cross-departmental projects.
